Closer — Support

Closer is a small, quiet app for keeping the people you care about close. Everything lives on your device — so most questions have short answers, and anything else reaches a person directly.

Common questions

• Where is my data? On your phone, and only there. There is no account and no cloud. Deleting a friend removes their history, notes and photo; uninstalling the app removes everything.
• How do I move to a new phone? Closer’s data rides along with your phone’s own backup (iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android) — restore the backup on the new phone and your circle comes with it.
• Reminders aren’t appearing. Check Settings → Gentle reminders is on in Closer, and that notifications are allowed for Closer in your system settings. Reminders are gentle by design — at most one per day.
• What does “Support Closer” buy? Nothing — it’s a voluntary thank-you. Every feature is free for everyone.
